Biocoop is a consumer cooperative based in Lisbon which is dedicated to selling organic produce at reasonable prices. Biocoop aims to challenge the high prices of organic products in Portugal's large supermarket chains by making organic food more affordable and accessible. Over 26,000 organic free-range whole eggs are sold a year, with many more used as ingredient in organic products.

"We use only organic eggs. This includes egg as ingredient in products such as mayonnaise, etc. We have been cage-free since the opening of the store in 1993."
