IKEA, azienda leader a livello internazionale nella vendita di articoli d'arredamento, è dotata anche di proprie aree food. In Italia IKEA ha vinto un Premio Good Egg per avere scelto di utilizzare esclusivamente uova di galline allevate con metodo biologico nei propri ristoranti entro il primo Settembre 2009.

In Italy, IKEA has won a Good Egg Award for committing to use only organic eggs in its restaurants all over the country by the first of September 2009.

Il Premio Good Egg costituisce per noi un importante riconoscimento in quanto valorizza uno degli aspetti fondamentali della nostra policy."

"A good farming practice represents not only the precondition for good quality and healthy food, but involves also a fundamental ethical issue. For us at IKEA animal welfare is taken into account very seriously. IKEA worldwide's policy 'IWAY' fosters farming practices which respect animals during all their lifetime. Also in order to support this stance IKEA Italy has introduced organic products into the food range of our restaurants and at the moment 50% of the eggs used in IKEA's Italian Restaurants are organic certified. IKEA Italy's commitment is to source 100% organic eggs by the 1st of September 2009. Ikea Belgium committed that from March 2008 it would only buy whole eggs from barn systems for use in their breakfasts and cold plates served in their restaurants. Ikea Belgium is part of the Ikea family which specialises in selling functional, well-designed furniture at affordable prices.
