Letter writing is an important part of our campaigning and has led to policy change on countless occasions.
Lobbying letters

Make your voice heard today
Make your voice heard today: write a lobbying letter or email to your MP or key industry stakeholders. You could also contact supermarkets and encourage them to raise their farm animal welfare standards.
It’s best to write in your own words and in a language that comes naturally to you. But in some situations, a high volume of identical letters – such as a card campaign – can demonstrate heavy public support.

Write to a local or national paper
Contact your local or national paper to spark debate and help to raise awareness of farm animal welfare issues. You could write in response to an article or a letter you have read, a recent news story or television programme. You might also like to inform the press if you are organising a fundraising event.
Use your letter as an opportunity to encourage others to take action; you can direct readers to our website for more information.
