From March 2008, Ikea Belgium will only buy whole eggs from barn systems for use in their breakfasts and cold plates served in their restaurants. Ikea Belgium is part of the Ikea family which specialises in selling functional, well-designed furniture at affordable prices.

"Ikea only uses fresh eggs that are produced in a more animal-friendly way because Ikea engages itself to respect the environment and animal welfare."
