Rosemary Marshall - Vice-Chair

Rosemary Marshall

Rosemary has been an avid supporter of Compassion since 1988. She has led her own active local group and worked on local and national media. She conducted her own research which included admissions into markets, factory farms and slaughterhouses and this led her to becoming an Area Contact for Compassion in the Bucks/Oxon area.

Rosemary has also worked for Compassion’s Speaker Service. Her passion for the protection of animals has seen her take up positions on the Boards of Protection Mondiale des Animaux de Ferme (PMAF) in France, Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad (SPANA) and for Berkshire Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT). To date, she is Chair of Chichester Natural History Society.

I went to Nottingham University for a conference organised by the RSPCA called The Status of Animals.  In the intervals I wandered the stalls.  Compassion in World Farming's literature was outstanding.  Succinct and clear, the factory farming problem I realised was the greatest source of cruelty in the country.
