Dr. Alan McElligott

Alan McElligott is a Reader in Animal Behaviour at the University of Roehampton. His research focuses on understanding how evolution, ecology and domestication have shaped the social behaviour, cognition and vocal communication of large mammals, particularly ungulates. This includes: cognitive bias, emotions, long-term recognition, personality, physical cognition, positive animal welfare, social cognition, social learning and social networks. Alan has lectured and published widely.
