Dr Kate Rawles

Kate Rawles is a senior lecturer at the University of Cumbria and a writer, campaigner and outdoor philosopher. She is interested in the relationship between sustainability, ethics and animal welfare. Her book The Carbon Cycle; crossing the great divide (Two Ravens Press, 2012) uses an adventure cycling story (4553 miles from Texas to Alaska), to explore questions about climate change. She sits on the Food Ethics Council and is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
