Martin Kemp was trained in Natural Sciences and Art History at Cambridge University and the Courtauld Institute, London. He held the posts of Professor of the History of Art at St. Andrews, and at the University of Oxford. His books include: The Science of Art (Yale), and The Human Animal in Western Art and Science (Chicago). He has published extensively on Leonardo da Vinci, including Leonardo (OUP). His most recent book is Christ to Coke. How image becomes icon (Oxford).
