The goal of our established Food Business team is to place farm animal welfare at the heart of the food industry, and in doing so we are recognised as the credible partner on animal welfare standards and policies, to the major food retailers, food service companies and manufacturers.
The right candidate will be an experienced business development / account manager who will be responsible for maintaining and developing partnerships with leading food companies. The right candidate will have a track record of building strong commercial relationships and be approachable, adaptable and have a positive disposition that inspires confidence.
They will have account management experience and be an excellent communicator, ideally with experience in partnership development and/or marketing in order to provide a compelling case to engage with food companies. They will promote the value of, and business case for, improved farm animal welfare policies and practices and promote support for key campaigns and programmes throughout the Europe. They will be able to bring a commercial perspective to welfare issues, and a solid understanding of the issues, practices and strategy in sustainability and/or animal welfare within the food supply chain. They will be realistic but ambitious about what is achievable with companies. They will be a driven self-starter, who can work on their own as well as in a team
