In an age where the debate about food provenance, sustainability and safety has never been more urgent, the challenge for Compassion in World Farming is to combat the spread of factory farming and ensure that animal welfare becomes a fundamental consideration within the global food system.

Compassion in World Farming is embarking on an ambitious global fundraising growth strategy that seeks to treble gross income from individual giving worldwide within 5 years. Our fundraising vision is a Compassion in World Farming global network with diversified, sustainable and growing income from an increasing number of markets and audiences – which deliver income required to achieve our overarching strategic goals for the coming five years.

This new post has been created to help the charity achieve this strategy by attracting and retaining tens of thousands of new donors worldwide over the coming five years.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a passion for, track record in, and deep understanding of digital media buying and fundraising techniques (particularly via paid advertising on social media platforms and email marketing).  These skills will be applied to co-ordinate a diverse global programme across multiple markets to help deliver a step change in Compassion’s income and impact for animals.

The successful applicant will be responsible for a six-figure budget and will need to demonstrate proven project management and sector leading analytical skills in order to deliver challenging income and engagement results to an agreed return of investment.

Finally, the successful applicant will be able to use their professional, creative and storytelling skills to inspire our 21st century movement to help us end factory farming - the biggest cause of cruelty on the planet.
