THE OBJECTIONS PERIOD HAS NOW FINISHED

The planning application for the proposed mega-dairy was open for public objections until the 11th January 2011. Many of our supporters got involved and submitted objections and recent reports have suggested that the North Kesteven District Council received over 16,000 objections to this proposal in total. You can read more about the strength of public opposition to this proposal here.

The target date for the Council to make a decision was the 18th February 2011, however on 16th February, Nocton Dairies withdrew its plan due, it claimed, to the serious objections made by the UK's Environment Agency. There are plans for other mega-dairies elsewhere in the UK and you can make your voice heard by taking a moment to ask your MP if they have signed Early Day Motion 942.
