TOGETHER WE CAN END THIS SUFFERING
You can stop the biggest cause of animal cruelty on the planet
Just £5 a month can help protect MILLIONS of animals from cruelty and suffering.
Farm animals are sentient creatures, with the ability to feel pain and distress, as well as a sense of well-being and contentment. So why is it that every year, over 40 billion animals worldwide are confined in factory farming systems which prevent them from doing what animals do naturally?
- Hens crammed into battery cages so small they can’t even spread their wings
- Pigs imprisoned in narrow cages where they can’t even turn around, bored and frustrated for their unnaturally short life
- Chickens crowded into sheds, festering in their own waste until they grow so unnaturally big that for many their legs are unable to support them
- Calves separated from their mother shortly after birth and subjected to journeys of as much as fifty hours to veal farms on the continent, often to be raised in conditions which would be illegal in the UK
Farming doesn’t have to be like this. But we need your help to change it.
Compassion in World Farming is the leading international farm animal welfare organisation actively campaigning to improve the lives of farmed animals all around the world. Over the past 40 years, we have achieved real change to improve the welfare of farm animals throughout the world, but there is still so much more to do.
So take action today - just £5 a month can help us tackle intensive, factory farming - the biggest cause of animal cruelty on the planet.
Giving each month is important because it takes time, money and persistence to outlaw cruelty to animals and to change attitudes to farming and food production. There are kinder ways to farm... but we need your help.
