Peter Roberts Memorial Lecture:

"Global Warning: the impact of meat production & consumption on climate change"

To be given by Dr Rajendra Pachauri, Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, joint winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.

The demand for meat and dairy products is escalating globally. Millions more animals face lives of misery in factory farms. Precious food and water resources are being diverted from feeding the hungry to feeding factory farmed animals. Food prices are shooting up. The impact of industrial farming on climate change and the environment worsens. How can we find solutions to this growing crisis?

To find a way forward, Compassion has invited Dr Rajendra Pachauri, Chair of the Nobel prize-winning IPCC, to give the 2008 Peter Roberts Memorial Lecture, entitled: "Global Warning: the impact of meat production & consumption on climate change".

Join us for a unique opportunity to hear one of the world’s most respected climate change experts give a groundbreaking lecture challenging our reliance on industrial animal farming systems and western diets. Dr Pachauri will also present his own vision for a healthier, greener and more compassionate world.
