Emma Slawinski – Director of Campaigns
I believe in the power of campaigning and of being the voice for those who have none. Compassion in World Farming is dedicated to ending the cruelty and suffering of farm animals globally and is a cause that everybody should sit up, stand up or shout out about and take notice of. That’s what I’m here for, to ensure that they do.
Emma first joined the animal welfare movement in 2011. She became our Head of Campaigns and Advocacy in 2012, leading her team with determination and fervour. She was known for the passion she put into each individual campaign, while always keeping the overarching objectives of the organisation at the forefront of the campaigning agenda. As a committed campaigner and animal welfarist, Emma went on to become the European Programmes Director at World Animal Protection, returning to Compassion as our Director of Campaigns, in 2016.
Emma has a strong track record of creating successful teams and has a mixture of both national and European experience, boasting significant contributions to a broad range of campaigning results including; corporate policy change, new and amended legislation, and public attitude shifts. She is delighted to return to Compassion and looks forward to taking the Campaigns Department forward and playing a key role in many more future achievements for farm animals worldwide.
