Dr Krzysztof Wojtas – Head of Fish Policy

Krzysztof leads our European wide ‘Rethink Fish’ team who work to improve the welfare of fish across the continent. He is also an Assistant Professor at the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences.

Krzysztof has conducted numerous research studies and published many scientific papers with a special focus on fish cognition and welfare.

Previously Krzysztof worked as a consultant for Eurogroup for Animals. He also worked with Otwarte Klatki, a polish-based NGO, where his scientific report contributed to a parliamentary initiative for an outright ban of fur farming in Poland. Krzysztof has appeared on TV programmes including BBC Countryfile and has been quoted in The Daily Mail.
