International Awareness Day: 14th June 2020
In these times of uncertainty, one thing’s for sure: your voice in the global movement against live exports is as important as ever.
On 14th June, campaigners all over the world will once again unite for animals in the fifth annual Ban Live Exports International Awareness Day.
Covid-19 social distancing measures will prevent us from uniting in person this year – so we’re adapting. For the 2020 day of global action, we want you to harness the power of platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to raise awareness and build pressure on world leaders to ban live exports, once and for all.
We hope the ‘virtual’ focus of this year’s International Awareness Day will also allow people who can’t usually travel to events – and campaigners in more countries than ever – to take part.
Here’s what’s in store (more details coming soon!):
- Twitter – on 14th June, campaigners around the world will unite on Twitter to take our message to the masses. Be sure to join the Twitterstorm and use #BanLiveExports in your posts!
- Facebook – join the Facebook event to connect with the global community. Coming soon: fresh new content for you to share in your posts.
- Instagram – a picture says a thousand words. Stay tuned for new resources to help you snap an impactful selfie to raise awareness.
And be sure to use #BanLiveExports in all your social media posts!
