As the UK will no longer be tied into the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy, Brexit gives us the opportunity to think about food and farming from scratch. Compassion in World Farming’s new report shows how we can build a system with really high welfare standards that treats animals as individuals. By transforming the role of animals and reducing meat consumption we can produce healthier diets, restore water, soils and biodiversity and reduce food’s damaging impact on climate change.
