Become a Compassionate letter writer

For those of you who prefer to campaign offline, letter writing is a powerful campaign tool. Make your voice heard today: write a lobbying letter to your MP, key industry stakeholders or local newspapers. You can find out more about best practice for campaign letters on our letter writing page.

Join a local group

One of the best ways to meet like-minded campaigners is by joining a Compassionate local group. Campaigning as a group can take many forms, from writing group letters and arranging regular meets, to holding information stands which help spread the word about the suffering factory farming inflicts. To find out more about joining forces with some fellow Compassion supporters in your area, check out our local groups page.

Raise awareness through fundraising

A great way to raise awareness about Compassion’s work is by holding a fundraising event. Often when people find out about factory farming, they like to be able to take action right away and donating to Compassion is a great way to join the biggest movement against factory farming. If you are holding a fundraising event and would like to do some campaigning at the same time, we can send you leaflets and other materials to help you out! Read more about fundraising and campaigning in your local community.

Vote with your wallet

One very powerful way to campaign that is often overlooked is voting with your wallet. Consumers can directly impact the way animals are reared for food; if everyone chose free range instead of factory farmed animal products, there would be no market for factory farming! Find out more about how you can make informed decisions when shopping or dining out by visiting our ‘Your food’ section.

You can make a difference. Whether it’s lobbying your local MP, holding an information stand, or signing online petitions, we can all do something to help fight factory farming. The help Compassion receives from our supporters towards our campaign work is of vital importance to us. Together, we change billions of lives. Whatever your interests and however much time you have to spare, you are bound to find a campaigning action that suits you.
