Goodbye and thank you, Lynsey

News Section Icon Published 03/10/2014

We are sorry to hear of the death of singer/songwriter Lynsey de Paul. Lynsey was a supporter of Compassion in World Farming’s campaigns, appeared at events for us and was interviewed about our campaigns on radio and TV. We remember her spending a long morning in Compassion’s human-sized battery cage in Covent Garden alongside Joanna Lumley and actor Christopher Timothy.

Professionally Lynsey was respected for her song-writing ability as well as her singing, and she received two Ivor Novello awards.

She felt passionately for animals and decried the appalling suffering they too often endure at human hands.
